About Workshop

The current times, especially with the onslaught of Covid-19, have witnessed a consistent spike in stress levels in all spaces – personal, academic and professional – and all walks of life. It is an undisputed fact that unmanaged/chronic stress could be traumatic, severely impacting a host of daily experiences. Moreover, it profoundly affects the immune system of an individual increasing the risk of exposure to viruses.

In this context, Women Empowerment Cell (WEC), GITAM (Deemed to be University), Visakhapatnam, India, is organizing an international virtual workshop, “Stress & Coping: Strategies to De-Stress” . The objective is to facilitate understanding of stress, and help apply coping strategies at personal and professional level for holistic wellness. The awareness is not only to increase job productivity, but also for the general well-being of an individual.
