On the occasion of International Women's Day (March 8th), the Women Empowerment Cell of GITAM has organized various events this week. Women Leaders Forum, Athletics Club, Crescendo Club, and Directorate of Student Life and Sports are the people who have led all the events by joining WEC. Inclusiveness and integration are the key elements of a harmonious work culture. A campus walk led by WEC, an online article competition conducted by the Crescendo Club, Volleyball and kabbadi matches planned by WLF and athletics, sports, A three km walkathon on the campus, and stalls by students are various vibrant activities done during this week. GITAM President Shri M Bharat, Secretary M Bharadwaj, Provc Medical Sciences Dr Gitanjali, and Dean Campus life Dr Balakumar have inspired the staff and students by participating in the various activities. A GITAM alumina (class of 1987, ECE) Kavitha Tummuluri (vice president, Infrastructure and Cloud services at Blue Yonder) graced the Women's Day event as chief guest and spoke about the "Building Yourself" - to last longer in career.
