Breast Cancer awareness sessions are organized by Women Empowerment Cell, GITAM in collaboration with the Department of Surgery, GIMSR and the Directorate of Hospitality. The lady surgeons from GIMSR explained how the self-examination of the breast can be done by every woman in order to identify hard lumps in the breast at early stage. The awareness about risk factors of breast cancer is created in general terms to all the women staff attended.
